8    Data security

We use the most common SSL (Secure Socket Layer) method in connection with the highest level of encryption supported by your browser. Usually this is a 256 bit encryption. If your browser does not support 256-bit encryption, we use 128-bit v3 technology instead. Whether a single page of our website is transmitted in encrypted form is indicated by the closed display of the key or lock symbol in the status bar of your browser.

We also use suitable technical and organisational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction or unauthorised access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously updated according to technological developments.

9    Use of YouTube videos

This website uses the YouTube embedding function to display and play videos from the provider "YouTube", which is owned by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google").

The extended data protection mode is used here, which, according to the provider, does not begin storing user information until the video(s) are played. If the playback of embedded YouTube videos is started, the provider uses "YouTube" cookies to collect information about user behaviour. According to "YouTube", these serve, among other things, to collect video statistics, to improve user-friendliness and to prevent abusive practices. If you are logged in to Google, your information will be directly associated with your account when you click on a video. If you do not wish to be associated with your profile when using YouTube, you must first log out before clicking the button. Google saves your data (even for users who are not logged in) as usage profiles and evaluates them. An evaluation of this nature is carried out in particular in accordance with art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR on the basis of Google's legitimate interest in the placement of personalised advertising, market research and/or demand-oriented design of its website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, whereby you must contact YouTube to exercise this right.

Regardless of the playback of the embedded videos, every time this website is accessed, a connection to Google's "DoubleClick" network is established, which can trigger further data processing operations without our influence.

Google LLC, based in the USA, is certified for the US-European data protection agreement "Privacy Shield", which guarantees compliance with the data protection level applicable in the EU.

Further information on data protection at "YouTube" can be found in the provider's data protection policy at https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/.

10    Automated decision-making

We do use your data for automatic decision making or profiling.

11    Use of Google Maps

On our website, we use Google Maps, a web service for the display of interactive (land) maps to visually display geographical information provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google"). Using this service will show you our location and make it easier for you to find us.

Even when opening sub-pages which include the Google Maps map, information about your use of our website (such as your IP address) is transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. This takes place regardless of whether Google makes available a user account via which you are logged in or no user account exists. If you are logged in to Google, your information will be directly associated with your account. If you do not wish to be associated with your profile on Google, you must log out before activating the button.
Google LLC, based in the USA, is certified for the US-European data protection agreement "Privacy Shield", which guarantees compliance with the data protection level applicable in the EU.
If you do not agree to the future transmission of your data to Google in the context of the use of Google Maps, it is also possible to completely deactivate the Google Maps web service by switching off the JavaScript application in your browser. In this case, Google Maps and hence the map display on this website cannot be used.
You can view Google's Terms of Use at http://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/terms/regional.html; the additional Terms of Use for Google Maps can be found at https://www.google.com/intl/en/help/terms_maps.html.
Detailed information on data protection in connection with the use of Google Maps can be found on Google's website ("Google Privacy Policy"): http://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/

12    Use of external fonts, functional and content elements

On our website we use functional and content elements that are obtained from the servers of the respective third-party providers. External fonts from Google Fonts are provided on the HNPM web server, so that no data is transmitted to Google. The integration of other Google services (assets), such as Google Tag Manager or Google Analytics is carried out by a server call, usually by a Google server in the USA. This transmits to the server which of our Internet pages you visited. The IP address of the browser of the end device of the visitor to this website is also stored by Google.

You can find more information in the data protection information of Google, which you can find here:

http://www.google.com/privacy/ads/

13    Data protection when applying for jobs

We collect and process the personal data of applicants for the purpose of handling your job application. Processing may also be carried out electronically. This is particularly the case if you send us corresponding application materials, for example, by email or via a web form on the website. If we hire you, the data transmitted during the application process will then be stored for the purpose of processing your employment relationship in compliance with the statutory provisions. If we do not hire you, your application materials will be automatically deleted two months after we notify of that decision, provided that no other legitimate interests require us to retain your data. Such legitimate interest may, for example, be to serve as evidence for use in proceedings under the General Equal Treatment Act (AGG).
