The dynaMix® 29 is the first dynamic micromixer enabling the active mixing of different liquids.
The patent-pending modular design enables application-specific mixer configurations with flushing of all empty volumes. Cover and mixing element are interchangeable. The number of inlets and outlets are variable by replacing the cover. The dynaMix® 29 has an empty volume of just 7 µl. Corrosion-resistant and durable materials, i.e. stainless steel, ceramics, and fluoroelastomers, enable a wide range of applications.
The mixing quality is independent of volume flows and is regulated by adjusting the speed of the mixing element (up to 12,000 rpm). This enables stable mixtures even under changing flow conditions. An output flow of up to 200 ml/min is possible, but fluid dependent.
The mixer cover and mixing element can be easily removed for intense cleaning or modification of the dynaMix®. This ensures extremely sustainable operation of the micromixer. Initial characterizations of the dynaMix® show a significantly reduced risk of clogging compared to a static mixer.
Bearing case and drive, as well as flushing and seal function behind the shaft bearing, are reliable HNPM technologies. A flushing channel can be added to the mixing chamber so that finally all empty volumes can be flushed.
The dynaMix® product portfolio is currently expanding and will be successively supplemented with alternative mixing elements, covers, and material variants, including test certificates. Further sizes are on the roadmap.
The dynaMix® 29 mixes liquids of different viscosities. Applications range from emulsifications to solvent / antisolvent generation of nano particles and even quick mixing sensitive reactions e.g. difficult lithiations.
