Our dosing pumps are used in the Life Sciences Industry. From diagnostics and research to pharmaceutical and vaccine production, pumps provide top performance, enable a high number of tests, and ensure process reliability. You will gain an insight into three representative examples:
#1 Analytical instrumentation
HNPM‘s micro annular gear pumps are used in the life science industry for liquid handling systems. They are suitable for robot-friendly laboratory automation, as well as with OEM integrations. The pumps can accurately pipette volumes between 1 µl and 1 ml.
#2 Flow cytometry
Flow cytometry is a high-precision measurement method for analyzing and quantifying cells and particles. To rule out measurement errors, the sheath flow must be perfectly continuous. Low-pulsation liquid flows and low-shear pumping are necessary for these applications. Pumps from our low-pressure series are used both to generate the sheath flow in the range of 1 to 10 ml/min, and to deliver cell and particle suspensions.
#3 Sample preparation
Before the analysis of viruses, bacteria, or various blood parameters can begin in an automated analyzer, the sample must first be prepared. Typically, just a few microliters of a solution containing chemicals and enzymes are added to the sample to enable the examination of the sample content.
We explain decision criteria and the factors that influence them (like volume flow, dosing volume, pressure, viscosity).
